“Even as a young girl, my heart burned for life.
The life that is carried in the heart and
in the womb of us women.”
Hej I am a midwife – My name is Anna and I was born in Germany in 1991.
In 2011, I initially embarked on the path of pediatric nursing, but then I took a break while I was pregnant with my first child. During parental leave, I continued to yearn for the profession of midwifery and then began full-time education as a midwife in 2014. My son was just 1.5 years young at the time. Any working mom knows how tough parenthood and work can be to combine. It was the most intense time in my life so far.
In April 2017, I held the exam in my hands and followed my call to continue working in obstetrics. I switched from my training company to a smaller hospital, working there 50% time and freelancing on the side with antenatal and postpartum care. I quickly started offering antenatal classes as well, expanded my expertise by training as a yoga teacher for pregnant women, attended several advanced massage courses for women’s health and newborns.
